Therapy designed to support your unique journey.

Want to make changes in your life?

Change is one of the constants in life, and finding ways to relate to that change can make a huge impact on our day to day happiness. Sometimes change happens to us, and we may struggle to adapt to that change— we experience an unexpected breakup, we encounter job loss, or perhaps we lose a pet or loved one. Other times we feel ourselves changing in some significant way for the better or worse— we feel ourselves outgrowing a job or longing to launch a new career, we experience unwanted sadness or anxiety, we yearn to change our relationships, or we simply feel “stuck” and want to do something about it.

No matter where change is occurring in your life, I am here to help you relate to those changes in ways that will help you carve out the kind of life you want to live. Everyone deserves to have someone in their corner who will listen without judgement, help them take steps toward the things they want out of life, and celebrate accomplishments.

I’m here to help you get started, begin again, or complete your dream.

Want to change something about your relationship?

Because as individuals we change over time, so do the ways we function in our relationships. Relationships can feel different in year 5,12, or 35 than they did in the beginning. In many ways relationships can get easier over time, but sometimes they feel like more work than we expected. We may think, “my partner has changed,” “I don’t know how to communicate with them anymore,” “I want this to feel how it used to feel",” or “how can we make this work?” As people with constantly evolving identities in an increasingly complex world, I’m not going to lie to you…it can be difficult to maintain a happy and healthy relationship. I’ll share a secret, though. I’ve seen it done time and time again by people who are motivated to aspire toward a better life together. Improving your relationship or marriage is not only possible, it’s almost guaranteed for people committed to the process. Are you ready to  improve intimacy, change the way you handle conflict, rebuild trust, or map out your next big adventure together? You can do these things! I’m sure of it.

I also want to acknowledge that not everyone is looking to improve their relationship or grow old together. Some people are simply trying be friends again, amicably uncouple, or be the best coparents they can possibly be. I am happy to help you achieve these admirable goals.

Whether you are dating and wanting to talk about next steps or premarital counseling, married and wanting to improve your communication, in midlife and wanting to re-imagine the second half of your life together, or trying to discern whether remaining together is what’s best for you, I provide an affirming space for all couples— straight and gay, young and mature, religious and secular, traditional and unique, or anything in between…I believe in acceptance for all.

When you are ready to change your relationship for the better, I’m here to help. Give me a call for a free consultation even if you may not be sure you’re ready for therapy as a couple. I am happy to determine if I can help or if other options might better serve your goals.
